Target Audience
The conference is expected to attract public health scientists, health policy makers, educators, researchers, service providers, social workers, community leaders, community residents, students in the major theme area fields, representatives of community based organizations providing services to underserved communities and anyone interested in eliminating disparities within the African American community.

- The importance of a needed change that allows for "community-centered" organizations, leadership and practitioners to emerge and demonstrate their collective expertise and capacities to reach those in the African American communities who are the most vulnerable and least served.
