MORE INFO

We are providing access to life sustaining essentials with CEA’s Food First Program.

In this time of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are witnessing many of our neighbors suffer from depression, fear, anxiety and confusion over the availability of essential resources. In the wake of this national crisis, CEA will be hosting its Food First Program, a bi-weekly food and supply distribution to the residents of Homewood and the surrounding neighborhoods. These distributions will happen every other Saturday. Visit CEA’s website weekly to find out which Saturdays CEA will be distributing essential supplies and nutritional food.

CEA’s Food First Program will also act as a clearinghouse, providing information on where to find food banks, food pantries, and supplies in our neighborhoods. Please click the Food Distribution Info for additional information on where you can locate food banks and pantries near you. There, you will also find out when CEA will be hosting its next food distribution.

Priority service is reserved for senior citizens and single-headed households with dependents and without access to transportation. Please click on the Food Info box above to sign up for food delivery.

CEA needs your help! Donations including food, money and supplies are greatly appreciated. To donate please click on the Donate box above. If you wish to donate food or supplies, please complete the Donation Form and CEA staff member will be in contact with you on dates and times you may drop off your donation.

CEA is also looking for volunteers to assist in the Food First Program by unloading food trucks, sorting and packaging food for distribution, traffic controlling, handing out packages to drive-ups and walk-ins, and delivery to priority citizens. If you are interested in volunteering, click the Volunteer box above, complete the Volunteer Form and, a CEA staff member will contact you for further details and instructions.

It Takes A Village! Thank you!
