Community Empowerment Association Inc., and Pitt Public Health are working together to address why some people are dying early in most of the underserved communities in the Pittsburgh area. According to the National Center for Health Statistics, the life expectancy in these neighborhoods are approximately 11-15 years shorter than neighboring communities with higher life expectancy. You can help make a difference by becoming a Community Researcher. Share this project with your neighbors and take the first steps in solving the problems of life expectancy disparities in your neighborhood. Where you live should not determine how long you live.
